Where wild things meet

The definition of CATEGORY treats its data: OBJECT, MAP unevenly.  The definition is open to the possibility of maps coming together, but stops short of ensuring that objects, when the prevailing conditions permit, can also come together.  Topos, in legislating products of objects along with the composition of maps, is just a place: home of common-ground, where people meet.
