Fairness on trail
If you tell me that I can have this $20 and that $100, then I’ll take $120 happily.
If you tell me that I can have this $20 or that $100, then it’s not fair: that guy there gets more for walking less. I hope it didn’t get institutionalized in the definition of products and sums (Conceptual Mathematics, page 302). Why does it have to be or?
